Use the Legacy MyHub

If you have a Cloud Governance subscription integrated with MyHub, the legacy MyHub is your default end-user portal. If your administrator has enabled the new MyHub experience, you’ll see a New MyHub toggle, allowing you to switch between the legacy and new interfaces in both the MyHub web portal and Teams app.

Refer to the sections below to explore the MyHub and MyHub Teams App interfaces.

The Working Environment

Refer to the following sections for common actions in the MyHub portal, MyHub app in Teams desktop or web app, and MyHub app in Teams mobile app.

MyHub Portal

The MyHub end user portal provides different hubs and features for you to view and manage your Microsoft 365 workspaces.

The MyHub portal interface.

  • Pinned hubs – All hubs that you choose to pin for quick access are displayed in this section.

    To pin/unpin a hub, hover your mouse over the hub, click the More actions button, and click Pin/Unpin.

  • There are four built-in hubs including different types of workspaces in each hub:

    • All workspaces – Displays the following Microsoft 365 workspaces:

      • All public groups, teams, and communities.

      • All private groups.

      • Private teams and communities you are a member or owner/admin of.

      • If your administrator enables the discovery and management of SharePoint sites, you can view all sites or sites you have permissions to in this hub based on the access scope defined by your administrator.

    • Favorite workspaces – Displays all Microsoft 365 workspaces that you have marked as favorite ones.

    • My workspaces – Displays all Microsoft 365 workspaces that you are an owner/community admin or member of.

    • Recent workspaces – Displays all Microsoft 365 workspaces that had activities over the last 30 days.

      NOTE

      Due to the Microsoft Graph API limitation for fetching a workspace’s last active time in the Microsoft 365 US Government GCC High environment, the Recent workspaces hub is unavailable for GCC High users.

    The All workspaces, Favorite workspaces, My workspaces, and Recent workspaces built-in hubs are visible only when your administrators allow you to view and access the corresponding hubs.

  • Saved hubs – All custom hubs that you created are displayed in this section, except the hubs that you choose to pin.

  • Set as default hub – To set a hub that will appear as the default page when you access MyHub, hover your mouse over the hub, click the More actions button, and click Set as default hub.

  • MyHub admin center – You can go to the MyHub admin center. Only MyHub administrators can see this button.

  • Settings – You can configure the following settings in the Settings panel:

    • Personal settings – Select your preferred time zone and language for MyHub.

    • Tag management – You can create new tags and delete tags that have been applied to workspaces in MyHub.

    • Hub management – You can create, edit, and delete your hubs.

  • Notifications – You can view notifications from MyHub.

MyHub App in Teams Desktop or Web App

There are three tabs in the MyHub app interface.

  • Home – In the Home tab, you can view and manage workspaces in different hubs, as well as manage hubs and tags. You can find the following buttons:

    • Create – Click the create button, and you will find the following options:

      • Create a hub – Click to create hubs to include various workspaces as needed. For more instructions on creating hubs, refer to the Manage Hubs section.

      • Save as a hub – Include the filtered workspaces in a new custom hub. For more instructions, refer to Save Filtered Workspace as a Hub.

      • Create a workspace – Click to create workspaces such as Microsoft 365 Groups, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint sites. For more instructions on creating workspaces, refer to the Create a Workspace section.

    • Edit hub – Edit hubs to change hub names or filters. For more instructions, refer to Edit a Hub.

    • Reload tab – Click the refresh button to reload the Home tab.

    • Go to website – Click the web buttonto go to the MyHub web portal.

    • Settings – Click the settings button, and you will find the following options:

      • MyHub admin center – Click to go to the MyHub admin center. Only MyHub administrators can see this button.

      • Hub settings – Click to configure the following settings in the Settings panel:

        • Tag management – You can create new tags and delete tags that have been applied to workspaces in MyHub.

        • Hub management – You can create, edit, and delete your hubs.

      • User guide – Click to go to see the user guide.

  • Chat – The chat bot can send you notifications about workspace provisioning results and handle your commands. In the Chat tab, you can use the following commands in Suggestions to quickly access workspace hubs and manage notifications:

    • Sign in – Use the command to sign in to MyHub with your Microsoft 365 account.

    • View all workspaces – View the following Microsoft 365 workspaces:

      • All public groups, teams, and communities.

      • All private groups.

      • Private teams and communities you are a member or owner/admin of.

      • SharePoint sites – If your administrator enables the discovery and management of SharePoint sites, you can view all sites or sites you have permissions to in this hub based on the access scope defined by your administrator.

    • View favorite workspaces – See your favorite Microsoft 365 workspaces.

    • View my workspaces – See all Microsoft 365 workspaces that you are a member or owner of.

    • View recent workspaces – See all Microsoft 365 workspaces that have been active over the last 30 days.

    • Turn notifications on – Start receiving notifications from MyHub.

    • Turn notifications off – Stop receiving any notifications from MyHub.

    • Help – See all supported commands.

      NOTE

      In the message card sent by the chat bot, you can click the link of a command to quickly access the functionality.

  • About – See basic information about MyHub, such as version number, privacy policy, and terms of use.

MyHub App in Teams Mobile App

In the MyHub, MyHub for AOS-US, or MyHub for AOS-CN app in the Teams mobile app, you can view and manage workspaces in different hubs, as well as manage hubs and tags. You can find the following buttons:

  • Chat bot – If the MyHub notification has been turned on in the Teams desktop app or web app, you can tap the chat bot to view notifications about workspace provisioning results.

    NOTE

    To use the links or buttons on the MyHub chat page to view the newly created workspaces, navigate to different hubs, or turn on/off notifications, refer to the instructions in the Access MyHub App in Teams Mobile App section to enable the developer preview.

  • Navigation – Tap the button to quickly navigate to your desired hub.

  • Create (Button: Create) – Tap the button, and you will find the following options:

    • Create a hub – Create hubs to include various workspaces as needed. For more instructions on creating hubs, refer to the Manage Hubs section.

    • Save as a hub – Include the filtered workspaces in a new custom hub. For more instructions, refer to Save Filtered Workspace as a Hub section.

    • Create a workspace – Create workspaces such as Microsoft 365 Groups, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint sites. For more instructions on creating workspaces, refer to the Create a Workspace section.

  • Edit hub – Edit hubs to change hub names or filters. For more instructions, refer to the Edit a Hub section.

  • Search – Tap the button and enter the keywords of a workspace to search for your desired workspaces within the current hub.

  • More actions – Tap the button, and you will find the following options.

    • Filter – Use different criteria to filter your desired workspaces.

    • Card view – View workspaces in the card view.

    • List view – View workspaces in the list view.

    • Sort by active time – Sort workspaces from Older to newer or Newer to older.

    • Sort by workspace name – Sort workspaces in alphabetical order from A to Z or Z to A.

    • Settings – Tap the button, and you will find the following options:

      • Tag management – You can create new tags and delete tags that have been applied to workspaces in MyHub.

      • Hub management – You can create, edit, and delete your hubs.

      • Help – Tap to see the user guide.
