#File System Explorer

File system explorer provides a centralized view of file system connections discovered by AvePoint Opus, allowing you to manage file system content throughout its lifecycle by supporting classification, retention, auditing, and disposal processes.

The File system explorer page displays all available file system connections. You can click the Connection name of a connection to view more information about a file system connection.

Select one or more connections and you can perform the following actions:

• Classify – Apply or update classification information for selected connections.

• View permissions – View information and records owners associated with the selected connection, including owner names and email addresses.

• RCC report – Generate a report for the selected connections. Reports can be generated for records with end dates within a specified period, such as 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or a custom date range.

• View audits – Review audit activities performed on the selected connection.

• Pause disposal process – Stop the disposal process for the selected connections. The connection remains available and the disposal process can be resumed later.

• Resume disposal process – Restart a previously paused disposal process for the selected connections.
