    • Use a lookup table to map and create properties

You can now create new user properties based on the existing properties using lookup tables.

    • User properties can now be selected as a filter condition in web-based reports.
  • The following enhancements have been made to the Community insights web report:

    • A chart has been added to display a ranking of the most used topics in your community, offering valuable insights into the effectiveness of your campaigns.

    • Community owners can view a ranking of their most successful conversations within a specified period, helping them identify which discussions most effectively engaged their audience.

    • The stat bar has been enhanced to include basic information to help evaluate overall engagement in your community and make better comparisons with other communities.

Power BI Report Updates

  • General Updates

    • User properties table – User attributes have been updated to the new user properties menu. You can now pivot clicks, searches, and other metrics by Department or Job Title, leveraging the full intelligence and power of tyGraph. Additionally, the properties you choose to show or hide in the AvePoint portal will directly control what is displayed in Power BI.
  • tyGraph for Teams

    • Added Working out loud score – The Power BI file now features the Working Out Loud score, which is calculated as the ratio of messages sent in teams to the total messages sent across all teams, indicating the percentage of work conducted publicly.

    • New Power BI app available – A new Power BI app has been launched in Microsoft AppSource, linked to the AvePoint tenant. This app includes the latest user property improvements, enhancing your data analysis capabilities. Note that the legacy app will remain functional for now but will not receive the user property improvements or any future updates and will be deprecated in an upcoming release. It is recommended to install the new app to take advantage of these enhancements. You can find the app here: AvePoint tyGraph Teams Analytics for Microsoft 365.

  • tyGraph for Viva Engage

    • Added additional fields – Two new columns, SharePoint Site URL and Geo Location, have been added to the Community table. These additions provide more detailed insights and improve the granularity of your data analysis.

    • Active people enhancement – To better align with the definition of active users in Viva Engage's native analytics, the File View activity has been removed from the Active People calculation. This change ensures a more accurate representation of user engagement by focusing on interactions that truly reflect active participation.

    • Calculating reactions – In the past, likes (reactions) were attributed to the date of the original message. However, Microsoft has now introduced a signal via the Audit Log that captures the precise date of each reaction. This enhanced data began integrating into tyGraph in late 2023. If reactions are not appearing in your reports, please contact support to ensure permissions for these new signals are correctly configured.

    • Community insights report – Due to popular demand, the Community Insights report is now fully visible, no longer just a drill-through page. This layout, favored by community owners, provides a comprehensive view of community health and engagement. It includes detailed metrics on active users, messaging, Q&A, live events, and membership stats, offering everything needed to boost community engagement.

  • tyGraph Pulse

    • New Power BI app available – A new Power BI app has been launched in Microsoft AppSource, linked to the AvePoint tenant. This app includes the latest user property improvements, enhancing your data analysis capabilities. Note that the legacy app will remain functional for now but will not receive the user property improvements or any future updates and will be deprecated in an upcoming release. It is recommended to install the new app to take advantage of these enhancements. You can find the app here: AvePoint tyGraph Pulse Analytics for Microsoft 365.
  • tyGraph for Copilot Adoption

    • Renamed Offer and Reports – We have updated the offer and reports to reflect Microsoft's official name change to "Microsoft 365 Copilot." As a result of this renaming, customers with an existing app installed in their Power BI tenant will need to set up a new workspace, as the previous workspaces will not support updates.
  • tyGraph for SharePoint

    • Unified SharePoint Experience – In this release, we have unified data from Pages and tyGraph for SharePoint into a single Power BI model. Now, you can view file activity and file activity by folder alongside page views, searches, and clicks for a site, all in one comprehensive view. This integration allows for a more holistic analysis of user interactions and site performance.
