• The Azure Active Directory service is renamed to Microsoft Entra ID as Microsoft Azure AD is becoming Microsoft Entra ID.

• The object limit that can be protected by Microsoft Entra ID service is removed for Trial subscription.

• The Microsoft Entra ID service of Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS now supports protecting the Devices - BitLocker Recovery Keys.

• When configuring backup scope for Azure VMs, you can choose to store the snapshots to another resource group.

• You can now customize the network interface and Public IP address name for the restoration of Azure VM.

• The unprotected VMs warning notification now also supports for the new/unprotected Amazon EC2 instances that are detected not being included in any backup scopes.

• Supports the backup and restore of the Azure Blob Storage when their Allow storage account key access setting is disabled.

• Backup performance of the Azure Storage service is improved.

• The Admin Portal Settings service now supports protecting the following policies that are managed through Microsoft 365 Defender: Anti-malware, Anti-phishing, Safe links, and Safe attachments. With Trial subscription, you can only have one backup scope configured for Admin Portal Settings.

• Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS now provides public APIs for customers to retrieve their backup job information to monitor the backup job status and performance.

• The Microsoft Graph REST APIs to list group members and owners used for the data protection of Microsoft Entra groups has been updated from Beta version to version 1.0.
