Cloud Backup for Azure is now available in the following data centers: Southeast Asia (Singapore), Switzerland North (Zurich), France Central (Paris), and Korea Central (Seoul).
Cloud Backup for Azure now provides a new service, the Admin Portal Settings service, to protect the admin settings for Azure AD and Microsoft 365 Defender. This service is currently in Private Preview, and you can only export the backup data of the admin settings to a local location. To use this service, contact AvePoint support for assistance.
You can now compare the backup data of users or groups in Azure AD with the data in production to find the data that you want to restore.
You must download the exported data within 7 days after an export job is finished. Otherwise, the exported data will expire, and you will not be able to download it.
To support protecting distribution lists in the Azure AD with MFA enabled, other than configuring a service account profile, you can now re-authorize the service app through AvePoint Online Services > App Management to add the Exchange.ManageAsApp permission to the Azure service app and then go to the Azure portal to assign the Exchange administrator role to this service app.
The failover group has been configured for the AvePoint servers used by Cloud Backup for Azure for the best SLA.
Cloud Backup for Azure can now protect additional properties for Azure AD users and groups.
