General Updates

  • New navigation updates are being rolled out across the Confidence Platform, delivering a more intuitive, consistent, and efficient user experience. In Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS, the left navigation pane has the following updates:

    • The Reporting section has been added to include Backup analysis.

    • Subscription consumption and System auditor have been moved to the System section, and Subscription consumption has been renamed to Subscription.

    • Account management has been renamed to User management, and Help has been renamed to Help & Resources.

  • The notification profile has been enhanced, allowing users to specify backup scopes to which the notification profile will be applied.

  • If you use AvePoint Azure storage to store backup data and have signed up for AvePoint Online Services with the Australia Southeast (Victoria) data center, you can now select New Zealand North (Auckland) as the storage region when accessing the Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS interface for the first time.

  • If you use AvePoint Azure storage to store backup data and have signed up for AvePoint Online Services with the North Europe (Ireland) data center, you can now select Qatar Central (Doha) as the storage region when accessing the Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS interface for the first time.

  • A tooltip has been added to the Storage profile page and the Create storage profile panel, recommending that you configure the storage firewall to allow only AvePoint Online Services to access your storage.

  • When downloading exported data, users can now retrieve the password for the exported data in the Download content panel.

  • The Restore job summary section on the Homepage has been improved. You can now use the date range drop-down list and service drop-down list to find the job summary data you need.

What’s New in Virtual Machine

  • The Check destination virtual machine step has been introduced when restoring files or folders in Azure VMs. This step verifies the necessary conditions before allowing the restoration job to proceed.

What’s New in Azure DevOps

  • The Azure DevOps service now supports backing up and restoring work items in Azure boards.
