The user containers are scanned by AvePoint Online Services Auto Discovery and contain the Microsoft 365 users of your organization. On the Containers & groups page, you can select how to manage and view license information in AvePoint Cense.
If Container is selected, users can view license reports, manage licenses with the User container filter, and manage the license budget for each user container. Or users can select Container group to manage licenses efficiently by including multiple user containers to a user container group. Based on different permissions, users can view license cost and license budget reports, view license reports, and manage licenses. Follow the instructions in the sections below to manage user container groups.
To create a user container group, complete the following steps:
In User management > Containers & Groups, click Create a group.
On the Create a group page, enter a group name and select the user containers to be included in this group.
When all containers are selected to be added in the container group, the Include newly created container checkbox appears. If selected, all newly created containers will be automatically added to this container group.
Click Save to save the group.
To edit a user container group, complete the following steps:
In User management > Containers & Groups, click the group name to edit.
On the Edit the group page, you can change the group name and user containers to be included in this group.
If this container group includes all containers, you can select the Include newly created container checkbox to configure that all newly created containers will be automatically added to this container group.
Click Save to save the changes.
To delete user container groups, complete the following steps:
In User management > Containers & Groups, select one or multiple groups and click Delete.
A pop-up window appears asking for your confirmation.
Click Delete to confirm.
