Download this articleSales allows you to customize metrics to view the trends of opportunities and configure notifications to track updates on key opportunities. Refer to the following sections to configure Sales dashboard and notification settings.
This feature is only available in End user portal & MyBiz Teams App.
Click Sales > Dashboard in the left navigation to access the dashboard. The dashboard is divided into two sections, the Insights overview section and Notification section. The Insights overview section displays the trends and changes in your key opportunities. The Notification section displays the notifications you received.
In the Insights overview section, you can add metrics based on your needs. Refer to the following steps to add a metric:
You can add up to six metrics to the dashboard.
Click Add metric to access the Add metric panel.
Complete the following settings:
Display name – Enter a name for the metric.
Object – This field is automatically filled in and cannot be edited. By default, the object is Opportunity.
Salesforce view – Select an existing view in Salesforce.
Metric method – Select a metric method from the drop-down list.
Count of the amount in different stages – A pie chart to display the amount count of filtered records in different stages.
Monthly count of closed opportunities – A line chart to display the count of closed opportunities, including the won opportunities and lost opportunities in each of the last 12 months.
Count of new opportunities – A line chart to display the count of new opportunities in each of the last 12 months.
In each chart, you can click the icon of the stage or opportunity to hide the data of the stage or opportunity from the chart.
Filter criteria – Click Add criterion and configure the filter criterion based on your needs. Only the data of records that meet the filter criteria will be displayed in the chart. You can click the Add button to add more criterion. To delete a criterion, click the Delete button next to the criterion.
Click Save to add the metric to the dashboard.
You can also perform the following actions to manage the metrics:
Refresh – Click the Refresh button in the upper-right corner of the Insights overview section to refresh the updates in the metrics.
Edit metric – Click the More button in the upper-right corner of a metric and click Edit metric to edit the metric.
Delete – Click the More button in the upper-right corner of a metric and click Delete to delete the metric.
If the configured notification templates have been triggered, you can view and perform the following actions to manage received notifications in the Notification section. To create and manage notification settings, refer to Notification Settings.
Mark as read – If a notification is unread, a new notification icon will be displayed in front of the notification. To mark a notification as read, click the More button next to the notification and click Mark as read. Then, the new notification icon will disappear.
Mark as unread – To mark a read notification as unread, click the More button next to the notification and click Mark as unread. Then, the new notification icon will be displayed in front of the notification.
Edit notification – Click the More button next to a notification and click Edit notification to edit the template of the notification.
Delete – Click the More button next to a notification and click Delete to delete the notification.
View all notifications – Click View all in the upper-right corner of the Notification section to access the Notification history page to view all notifications you received. You can click the filter drop-down list to filter notifications by the type of notification template.
Refer to the following steps to create and manage notification settings:
Click Sales > Notification settings in the left navigation to access the Notification settings page.
Click Create notification template to access the Create notification template panel to create a new notification.
In the Template step, select one or multiple desired notification templates.
New opportunities – Receive notifications when there are new deals coming into your pipeline.
Deal won – Receive notifications when there are closed won deals.
Amount changes – Receive notifications when there are amount changes in deals you take care of.
Stage changes – Receive notifications when there are stage changes in deals you take care of.
Click Next to go to the Application settings step.
Complete the following settings:
Where to receive notifications – This field is automatically filled in and cannot be edited. By default, the notifications will be displayed on the Sales dashboard. Select the checkbox below this field if you do not want to receive the notification when you update the opportunity.
Opportunity scope – Select an option from the drop-down list as the opportunity scope. Notifications will be sent for opportunities within the scope.
Minimum opportunity amount ($) – Enter a positive integer as the minimum opportunity amount. Notifications will only be sent when the amount is larger than the entered value.
Notification trigger for stage changes – Select a trigger condition:
This section only appears when you select Stage changes as one of the notification templates.
When the stage changes – To receive notifications when any stage changes.
Customize notification trigger – To receive notifications when the deals change to specific stages. Click the When the stage changes to text box below, and the stages configured in Salesforce will be automatically loaded. Select one or multiple stages from the drop-down list as the specified stages.
Click Save to save your configurations.
The created notification template will be listed on the Notification settings page. You can click the Edit button next to a template to edit the template, or click the Delete button to delete the template.
