What’s New in Cloud Backup for Salesforce® Interface?

  • The following updates have been made to the Settings section in the left navigation pane in Cloud Backup for Salesforce®:

    • The General settings now include API usage limit, Bulk API usage, External ID, and Organization management.

    • The Security settings now include Encryption profile, Data cleanup, and Archive deletion.

    • The Storage settings now include Storage and Retention.

  • AvePoint Cloud Backup for Salesforce® now supports archiving Attachments objects.

  • Scheduled data cleanup can now be enabled for backup data in your organization in Data management > Data cleanup.

  • Multiple conditions can now be configured for a single object or metadata type when configuring alert rules in Activity > Monitor alerts.

  • Bulk API is now supported for simulation jobs and restoring archived data. Administrators can enable the Bulk API and define its scope in Settings > Advanced > Bulk API usage.

  • When configuring one-time data exports, a date range can now be selected within the backup data's retention period for export.

  • When restoring archived data, you can now choose to restore related records in master-detail relationships for the selected records.

  • When configuring backup scopes, you can now exclude specific metadata types from backup.

  • When restoring archived data, you can now choose to prioritize restoring records from the recycle bin. If a record with the same ID exists in the recycle bin, it will be restored from there, and the original record ID will be retained.

What’s New in the AvePoint Cloud Backup App?

  • A restore button can now be created and added to the page layout of a specific object in Salesforce directly within the AvePoint Cloud Backup app > Restore Button Settings.
