    Cloud Backup for Google Workspace September 2021

    • Release Date: September 5, 2021

    • If you have the Bring Your Own Storage license, you can now configure Google Cloud Storage as the custom storage location to store your backup data.

    • Cloud Backup for Google Workspace now supports using custom storage locations to store backup data. If your backup data is currently on the default storage location and you want to use your own storage afterward, you can now contact AvePoint support to update your license and change the storage location to your own storage. If you use your own storage location at the beginning but you want to change to the default storage location, you can also contact AvePoint support to update your license and the storage location.

    • If you have the Bring Your Own Storage license, you can now configure Amazon S3 as the custom storage location to store your backup data.

    • In your AvePoint Online Services tenant, you can now add multiple Google Workspace tenants to use the Cloud Backup for Google Workspace service for your data protection.

    • If you have the Bring Your Own Storage license, you can now configure Microsoft Azure Blob Storage as the custom storage location to store your backup data.

    • If you have the Bring Your Own Storage license, you can now go to General Settings > Storage Location to configure your custom storage location.

    • If you have the Bring Your Own Storage license, you can configure your custom storage location in the wizard when you log into Cloud Backup for Google Workspace for the first time.

    • If you have the Bring Your Own Storage license, you can now configure Amazon S3-Compatible Storage as the custom storage location to store your backup data.

    • If you have the Bring Your Own Storage license or you use the AvePoint storage license with the unlimited retention policy, you can now go to General Settings to configure the Retention Policy setting.

    • You can now click the question mark icon then click What’s New to view What’s New in this Release?

    • If you perform a restore at the File level of Drive or Shared Drive, you can now configure the Folder Name condition to search for files that you want to restore. If you perform a restore at the Contact level of Contacts, you can now configure the Label Name condition to search for contacts that you want to restore.

    • For a better user experience, the style of the following pages has been improved: Overview, Protection, Restore, and Job Monitor.
