#Cloud Backup for Google Workspace August 2025

• Cloud Backup for Google Workspace now supports backup and recovery for Google Directory. This module supports protection for Users and Groups data, such as roles, privileges, labels, and memberships.

• The Storage consumption report now supports the following service types:

  • Added Gmail (Vault), Drive (Vault), and Shared drives (Vault) for the Vault data protection.

  • Added Users and Groups for the Google Directory module.

If your organization uses the BYOS (Bring your own storage) subscription and has enabled Vault or Google Directory protection, you can contact AvePoint support to add this report for your tenant.

• The API method for retrieving job information has been enhanced to support filtering for Google Directory (including users and groups) and Google Vault (including Gmail, Drive, and shared drives).
