| In Data management > Manually delete backup data, when searching for files in Drive (Vault) or Shared drives (Vault) to be deleted, some special characters in file names are displayed as ----.Root cause: Google Vault automatically sanitizes filenames during export to ensure compatibility across various operating systems, such as Windows, which restricts certain characters (e.g., \ / : * ? " < > | ). Additionally, Vault appends a unique identifier to each filename to prevent collisions. |
