#Cloud Backup for Google Workspace July 2022

• In Cloud Backup for Google Workspace > General Settings > Backup Settings, you can now configure the Exclude special file types setting to select file types that will be excluded from the backup scope of Drive and Shared Drive. With this settings configured, the performance of backup jobs may be improved.

• In Cloud Backup for Google Workspace > General Settings > Retention Policy Settings, you can now configure the Use a custom retention policy for each service setting.

• You can now access Cloud Backup for Google Workspace by clicking the address of the environment, without signing in to AvePoint Online Services.

• The permission management for ReCenter has been updated. Tenant Owners and administrators can now go to AvePoint Online Services > User Management to grant the ReCenter (for Google Workspace) permission to Google users and groups. To access the ReCenter portal, users can now sign in to AvePoint Online Services, and click the ReCenter tile on the Home page.
