Violation Report

Violation report displays all detected violations. You can click Refresh any time to refresh the information on this page.

To quickly locate violations, click Filters, set filter conditions, and click Apply to activate the filters. Alternatively, you can search for a specific violation by entering the violation ID in the Search text box and pressing Enter on your keyboard.

The following table lists the violation statuses and their definitions.

Violation StatusDefinition
ErrorAn unexpected error occurred while monitoring your environment.You can refer to Details to find more detailed information on the error.
Failed to fixAn unexpected error occurred while fixing the violation.You can refer to Details to find more detailed information on the failure.
FixedThe violation has been fixed.
Manual fix requiredThis status is typically associated with data deletion or membership removal / assignment.Policies enforcement cannot decide how this violation should be resolved. You can manually fix the violation directly in the Administration module or within your environment.
Pending reviewThis violation and fixing approach is going through the approval process.
Pending fixThe violation is waiting to be fixed. You can click the Fix button to fix the violation promptly.This status usually occurs when the auto-fix-violations feature is disabled in rule configurations.
FixingThe violation is in the being fix. You can check the details in Job monitor.
End user approvedThe approver approved the fix.
End user rejectedThe approver rejected the fix.
End user task overdueThe approval process is overdue.
Fixed automaticallyThe violation has been automatically fixed according to the policy configurations.

Fix Violations

In the violations table, each violation ID is clickable. Clicking the violation ID will open the violation details panel, where you can find the specific information about the violation and review the policy configurations by clicking the policy name. When a violation is marked as Pending fix or Failed to fix, you can manually fix it in this report.

To fix a violation, complete the following steps:

  1. Select the violation and click Fix. Or click the violation ID to open the details window.

  2. In the Fix violation or Violation details window, complete the following configurations:

    • Operation

      • Fix directly – Configure a fixing action and automatically fix the violation upon detection.

        *Note: This option is not applicable to rules that can only be fixed through manual fixes. For example, for the Manager count restriction rule, when violations are detected, administrators need to decide the user to add or remove from the shared drive’s manager list.

      • Fix through approval process – Evaluate the violation and fixing details through the approval process created in Configure Approval Process.

        *Note: This option is not applicable to rules that require manual fixes. For example, for Manager count restriction, when violations are detected, administrators need to decide the user to add or remove from the shared drive’s manager list.

    • Action details – Configure the fixing action to take. The selected action will be executed upon violation detection or approval.

    • Approval process – If Fix through approval process was selected, select an approval process.

  3. Click Submit.

To fix multiple violations in batch, select the violations, and click Fix.

A job will start to fix the violations. You can navigate to Job monitor to check the job details.
