The following features are in preview in the AvePoint Cloud Governance insider environment, and they will be available in the commercial and U.S. Government environments on the general availability dates. For additional technical information on the new functionality and known issues, see the Release Notes.

What's New in the Cloud Governance Admin Center?

  • The following dynamic service updates are available in Management > Dynamic services:

    • A new Invite mail contact service allows business users to request to invite mail contacts via this service.

    • The Change site settings service now supports inheriting from the Change ownership or membership service when the Viva Engage community object type is selected.

    • The Confide project object type can now be selected within the Change contact service scope.

    • Create site collection service updates:

      • The Limit the number of group members setting is now available for the predefined $SiteName Owners SharePoint group, allowing you to define the number of group members that a requester can add in the request form.

      • A new built-in action Define site properties has been added, allowing IT administrators to control Offline client availability during site collection provisioning.

    • A new built-in action Define group properties has been added, allowing IT administrators to specify whether provisioned Microsoft 365 Groups are security-enabled during group provisioning.

    • The Limit the number of team owners setting is now available in the Create team service, allowing you to define how many team owners that a requester can add in the request form.

    • Dynamic metadata is now supported for the following services:

      • Create Microsoft 365 Group

      • Create site collection

      • Create team

      • Create Viva Engage community

    • Added the Change primary email address setting in the Change mail-enabled security group settings service, allowing business users to update the local part or domain of the primary email address while restricting available domains.

    • The Change contact and Change metadata services now support Power Automate desktop flows in addition to cloud flows.

    • The Create list service now supports the Define a list to use as a template built-in action, allowing IT administrators to specify a SharePoint list as the template for list creation.

    • In a Create Confide project service, IT administrators can now set separate limits for internal and external user counts.

  • The following profile updates are available in Management > Profiles & templates:

    • Renewal profiles and escalation profiles can now be configured for enterprise applications.

    • Power Automate flow escalation profiles now support desktop flows, allowing IT administrators to configure escalation actions for desktop flows.

    • Power Automate flow automatic import profiles now support desktop flows, allowing IT administrators to discover and automatically import new desktop flows on a defined schedule.

    • Limit access profiles can now be configured for Power Automate desktop flows.

    • The following profiles can now be configured in Confide project profiles:

      • Confide project contact election

      • Automated escalation profile for Confide project

    • The following profiles can now be configured in mail contact profiles:

      • Mail contact renewal

      • Automated escalation profile for mail contact

    • When configuring Confide project renewal profiles, you can now enable escalation for overdue renewal tasks and assign an automated escalation profile.

  • The User activity report has been moved from the classic admin center to the modern admin center, with additional experience improvements.

  • The Mail contact report is now available under Directory. Tenants with an active AvePoint EnPower for Power Platform subscription can view and manage mail contacts directly in EnPower.

  • The Enterprise application report is now available under Directory. Tenants with an active AvePoint EnPower for Azure Entra ID Enterprise Applications subscription can view and manage enterprise applications directly in EnPower.

  • AI Agent related features in Cloud Governance are now available in the U.S. Government environment.

  • The User.Read delegated permission of Microsoft Graph API is no longer required by the Cloud Governance for Microsoft 365 and Cloud Governance for Exchange apps.
