• Public Preview: A new rule action, Store in Microsoft 365 Archive, is now available for documents in SharePoint Online. It uses the native Microsoft 365 archiving feature, where archived items are replaced with lightweight placeholders and can be reactivated on demand.

  This feature requires an additional Microsoft Graph application permission Files.ReadWrite.All. If your organization has configured an app profile for the custom Azure app, navigate to the Microsoft Entra admin center to add this permission to the app.

• You can now move up to 15 physical records to a new physical folder, with intelligent system updates applied automatically:

  • Template synchronization: if the record's template does not already exist in the destination folder, it will be added automatically.

  • Property inheritance: when Enforce column inheritance is enabled in the folder template, the record’s property values are automatically updated to match those of the destination folder.

• A new rule action, Calculate action due date, is now available for physical folders to calculate their action due dates. A new rule criterion, Latest direct folder action due date, is now available for physical boxes. Together, they ensure that a physical box is automatically destroyed only when the latest action due date among its direct folders has been reached.

• An immediate warning now appears when you attempt to apply settings to a content source node with a job already in progress. You can choose to queue the new job or retry the action later.
