Download this articleOpus uses Microsoft 365 retention labels with record functionality to replace the legacy In-Place Records Management feature. For legacy declared records, Opus allows you to migrate them by applying a records label that locks the items for compliance and retention purposes.
This process is irreversible, so check your scope and retention label settings before continuing.
Select a tree node and click Migrate declared records. In the pop-up window, the Records label for locking documents/items field reflects the records label configured in Settings > General settings. You may modify the records label as needed. Please note that there is only one records label, so any changes made here will also appear on the Settings > General settings page. When ready, click Migrate. A Migrate declared records job will start.
Ensure that the configured retention label has the Mark items as a record setting enabled and has been published to the site collection where you want to lock documents, items, or stubs.
