    SharePoint On-Premises

    Before managing SharePoint On-Premises content, you need to make the following preparations:

    1. Register agents – You need to register agents to establish connections between AvePoint Opus and your SharePoint On-Premises. For detailed instructions, refer to Register Agents.

    2. Scan SharePoint On-Premises – You need to scan web applications and site collections from SharePoint On-Premises to AvePoint Opus. For detailed instructions, refer to Configure Schedule Settings.

    To manage SharePoint On-Premises content, you need to perform the following operations in order:

    1. Configure settings on a tree node to classify the content with terms.

    2. Run an Apply settings job to apply the configured settings to content. Therefore, rules associated with the configured terms will be applied to the content.

    3. Run an Enforce rule actions job to enforce rule actions on content to manage the content.
