Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

Details:

The member is an external user, but external users are not allowed to access the destination chat.

Recommendations:

Complete the step below to resolve this issue:

  1. Check the Cross-tenant access settings configured for your organization in Microsoft Entra admin center. Ensure your organization allows all external users/groups and applications to access the organization resources. Refer to for details.

  2. Check the External access settings configured for your organization in Microsoft Teams admin center. Ensure users in your organization can communicate with Teams users in other organizations, unmanaged Teams users, and other groups of external users. Refer to for details.

  3. Run an incremental or "Retry error objects" migration job to resolve this issue.

TC-ChatHasBeenDeleted

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-ChatHasBeenDeleted**

Details:

The object-related chat has been deleted from the destination.

Recommendations:

Choose one of the following options to resolve this issue:

- If you do not care about this issue, you can ignore the error code in Fly. - If you want to migrate the object, add the **CreateNewChatIfServiceAccountIsLeave=true** customized feature to the migration policy and run an incremental or "Retry error objects" migration job later to resolve this issue.

TC-ExceededFileStorageLimit

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-ExceededFileStorageLimit**

Details:

The total size of the destination OneDrive site has exceeded the allowed file storage limit.

Recommendations:

Here are two options to resolve this issue:

- Delete the files that are no longer needed and empty the recycle bin. - Contact your Microsoft 365 administrator to increase the storage limit of the destination OneDrive site.

Then rerun an incremental migration job.

TC-ExternalUserNotMigratedSinceDifferentEnvironment

Issue:

The chat member failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-ExternalUserNotMigratedSinceDifferentEnvironment**

Details:

External users cannot be migrated since chatting between the global tenant and the 21Vianet tenant is not supported.

TC-FileCheckedOut

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- TC-**FileCheckedOut**

Details:

The destination HTML files for the chat messages are currently checked out and cannot be modified.

Recommendations:

Check in the file or discard the changes of the file, and then run an incremental or "Retry error objects" migration job later to resolve this issue.

TC-MaximumMembersInGroupChat

Issue:

The chat member failed in the migration with the following error:

- TG-**MaximumMembersInGroupChat**

Details:

The maximum number of chat members allowed in one chat is 250. The chat member cannot be migrated since the number of chat members in the destination chat has exceeded the limit.

Recommendations:

Check the source and destination chat members and remove the unnecessary members.

TC-MaximumTabsInChat

Issue:

The chat tab failed in the migration with the following error:

- TG- **MaximumTabsInChat**

Details:

The maximum number of tabs allowed in one chat is 50. The tab cannot be migrated since the number of tabs in the destination chat has exceeded the limit.

Recommendations:

Check the source and destination chats and remove the invalid tabs.

TC-MissingAvailableMessages

Issue:

The chat member failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-MissingAvailableMessages**

Details:

A chat message, which was sent before the member joined the chat, failed in the migration.

Recommendations:

Try to resolve the error for the failed message, and then rerun the incremental migration job.

TC-MissingRolePermissions

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-MissingRolePermissions**

Details:

The error may occur in the following situations:

- Situation 1: The app profile, service account, or custom delegated app profile does not have sufficient permissions. - Situation 2: The Teams chat with HTML file tab failed in the incremental job since the consent user of the used delegated app profile was removed from the chat.

Recommendations:

For situation 1, refer to the user guide to grant the app profile, service account, or custom delegated app profile with required permissions, and rerun an incremental migration job. For situation 2, configure an app profile in the destination connection and run an incremental job to resolve this issue. If the error persists, contact Support and provide the migration mapping information and job ID to analyze the error.

TC-PinnedMessageNotMigrate

Issue:

The pinned message failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-PinnedMessageNotMigrate**

Details:

The original chat message applied with the pinned status failed in the migration.

Recommendations:

Navigate to **Projects** > **Project mappings** > **View mapping report** > **Migration error** in Fly to view the error details about the original chat message in the **Migration errors** section. Try resolving the error for the chat message and run an incremental job.

TC-PlaceholderUserNotFound

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-PlaceholderUserNotFound**

Details:

The placeholder account does not exist in the destination tenant.

Recommendations:

Check and make sure the placeholder account configured in the destination connection exists in the destination tenant, and rerun the migration job. (Use the user principal name to configure the placeholder account in the connection.)

TC-SANeedLicense

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-SANeedLicense**

Details:

The consent user of the destination delegated app profile does not have a Microsoft Teams license.

Recommendations:

Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center > Users > Active users, and select Microsoft Teams under the Licenses and apps tab of the consent user to assign the licenses to the consent user. Then, run an incremental or "Retry error objects" migration job later to resolve this issue.

TC-SANotInChat

Issue:

The chat failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-SANotInChat**

Details:

The destination service account or the consent user of the destination delegated app profile is not a member of the destination chat.

Recommendations:

Manually add the destination service account or the consent user as the destination chat member, or provide an app profile in the destination connection. Then rerun the migration job.

TC-TooManyRequests

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-TooManyRequests**

Details:

The error indicates that the Microsoft Graph service is busy, and requests to the Microsoft Graph service are throttled.

Recommendations:

Wait a few minutes, and rerun the incremental migration job.

TC-UserMappingIsNotMatchDestination

Issue:

The chat user failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-UserMappingIsNotMatchDestination**

Details:

The destination mapped user based on the user mapping, domain mapping, or mapping properties is not the destination user configured in the migration mapping.

Recommendations:

Use the same destination user in both the migration mapping and user mapping for the source user, and rerun the incremental migration job.

TC-UserMySiteIsNotUpdated

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-UserMySiteIsNotUpdated**

Details:

The domain of the destination user has been changed, but Microsoft has not synced the user's OneDrive URL.

Recommendations:

Run an incremental or "Retry error objects" migration job after the OneDrive URL syncs.

TC-UserMysiteNotFound

Issue:

The object failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-UserMysiteNotFound**

Details:

The OneDrive site of the source or destination chat user cannot be retrieved.

Recommendations:

Make sure the sites of the source and destination chat users are initialized, and the destination service account (or the consent user of the destination delegated app profile) is the SharePoint Administrator or the site collection administrator of the destination chat user's site. Due to the delay of Microsoft API, we recommend you rerun the incremental migration job 12 hours later to resolve this issue.

TC-UserNotFound

Issue:

The chat user failed in the migration with the following error:

- **TC-UserNotFound**

Details:

The source or destination Teams chat user does not exist.

Recommendations:

Make sure the user principal names of source and destination chat users are correct, and rerun the incremental migration job.
