Migration to Google Chat Space

Refer to the table below to view the supported and unsupported object types for Microsoft Teams Chat to Google Chat Space Migration.

NOTE

The object types that are not listed in the table below are not supported.

NOTE

After the migration, the corresponding users in the destination chat space can view the complete chat history, even if they could only view part of it or nothing in the source chat.

NOTE

Chat messages cannot be migrated if the destination chat space is blocked.

If you configure to migrate the reply with quote messages on or after a specific date, but only the reply messages meet the date filter, then only the reply messages can be migrated and displayed in the destination. 3. If the source quoted message is a file and you do not replace the file URL with the destination Google Drive URL, after the migration, the destination quoted message will be displayed as the file ID.

Post messages-Partially Supported1. If the sender has been mapped to a destination user successfully, the messages will be posted by the destination mapped user and the send time will be displayed as the source send time. 2. If the sender failed to be mapped to a destination user, the source message sender and send time will be displayed in destination message content. The message will be posted by the administrator configured in the destination custom Google app profile, and the post time will be displayed as the source send time. 3. If the source post message contains multiple files, only the first migrated file can be previewed in the destination. The other files will be displayed as links.
FilesOneDrivePartially SupportedIf the file is from the Microsoft Teams Chat Files folder, the file can be migrated in Microsoft Teams Chat migrations. If the file is from other folders, you need to run OneDrive to Google Drive migrations to migrate the file.
