Export to PDFTo apply a template to the target customer tenant, you need to configure the settings required for the target customer tenant first.
Refer to the following steps to configure Microsoft settings:
Log in to Elements and create a customer app profile for your target tenant in Settings > Additional > Customer app profile. For the permissions that should be accepted when you authorize the corresponding app, see Manage Customer App Profiles.

A Microsoft 365 Global Administrator account is required to create or re-authorize the apps.
Log in to AvePoint Online Services and create a service account with a Global Administrator for your target tenant in Management > Service account. A service account is needed when you apply Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams settings. Refer to Service Account for details.

Refer to the following steps to configure the settings of Policies for Microsoft 365 for the target tenant:
Log in to AvePoint Online Services, and then connect to your target Microsoft 365 tenant in Management > Tenant management. See Connect Tenants for details.
Connecting to a Microsoft 365 tenant requires a Microsoft 365 Global Administrator’s consent.

Configure app profiles in Management > App management. When configuring an app profile, select your target tenant and the Policies for Microsoft 365 service first, and then choose Classic mode, Modern mode, or Custom mode to configure the app profile. For the app profiles that Policies for Microsoft 365 needs and the permissions that should be accepted when you authorize the corresponding app, see Permissions for App Profile Authentication.
A Microsoft 365 Global Administrator account is required to create or re-authorize the apps.

Select a service.

Choose a setup method.
Configure Auto Discovery for your target tenant in Auto discovery > Scan profiles. Refer to Manage Scan Profiles for details.

4 Enable the report data collection for your target tenant in Administration > Report data collection. Make sure Data in Microsoft 365 is enabled, and select all data sources (select SharePoint Online and Microsoft Entra ID at least). Refer to Enable Report Data Collection for details.

Refer to the following steps to complete the settings of Insights for the target tenant:
Log in to AvePoint Online Services, and then connect to your target Microsoft 365 tenant in Management > Tenant management. See Connect Tenants for details.
Connecting to a Microsoft 365 tenant requires a Microsoft 365 Global Administrator’s consent.

Configure app profiles in Management > App management to. When configuring an app profile, select your target tenant and the Insights service first, and then choose Classic mode, Modern mode, or Custom mode to configure the app profile. For the app profiles that Insights needs and the permissions that should be accepted when you authorize the corresponding app, see Permissions for App Authorization.

Select a service.

Choose a setup method.
Configure Auto Discovery for your target tenant in Auto discovery > Scan profiles. Refer to Auto Discovery for details.

Turn on Audit Log Search for your target tenant in Microsoft 365 Compliance Center. This may take up to 24 hours. Refer to Turn auditing on or off for details.
Refer to the following steps to configure the settings of Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 for the target tenant:
Log in to AvePoint Online Services, and then create an app profile for your target Microsoft 365 tenant. See Connect Tenants for details.
Connecting to a Microsoft 365 tenant requires a Microsoft 365 Global Administrator’s consent.

Create an app profile in Management > App management. When configuring an app profile, select your target tenant and the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service first, and then choose Classic mode, Modern mode, or Custom mode to configure the app profile. For the app profiles that Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 needs and the permissions that should be accepted when you authorize the corresponding app, see App Profile Authentication.
A Microsoft 365 Global Administrator account is required to create or re-authorize the apps.

Select a service.

Choose a setup method.
(Optional) Create a Viva Engage app profile for your target tenant in Management > App management to backup Viva Engage data. The authentication user for the Viva Engage app must have the Verified Admin role.
(Optional) Create a custom Azure app profile for you source tenant in Management > App management if you want to back up Microsoft Teams Chat data.
(Optional) Create a Microsoft Delegated app profile and a Power Platform Objects scan profile for you source tenant if you want to back up Microsoft Power BI or Power Automate data.
Create a Microsoft Delegated app profile in Management > App management. For the permissions that should be accepted when you authorize the corresponding app, see App Profile Authentication.
A Microsoft 365 Global Administrator account is required to create or re-authorize the apps.
Create a Power Platform Objects scan profile in Auto discovery > Scan profiles. Refer to Manage Scan Profiles for instructions.

Configure Auto Discovery for your target tenant in Auto discovery > Scan profiles.
