Setup of AvePoint Cloud Index App in Microsoft Teams
Users who have the Allow members to add and remove apps permission can add the AvePoint Cloud Index app in your Teams.
Prior to adding Cloud Index in your Teams, ensure the following:
- AvePoint Cloud Index Gateway Admin has been installed and is running well.
- The version of AvePoint Cloud Index Gateway Admin is no earlier than August 2019.
- Microsoft Entra ID app profile or Microsoft 365 app profile has been created in AvePoint Online Services.
> ***Note**: If your Cloud Index scenarios have no relationship with Cloud Index private connections and SharePoint Online, you can follow the method below to add Cloud Index in Teams without creating any of these app profiles as a Microsoft Entra ID app profile is required for Cloud Index private connections and Microsoft 365 app profile is required for Cloud Index integration with SharePoint Online.
1. Sign in to AvePoint Online Services, and access AvePoint Cloud Index.
2. Open your Microsoft Teams by using the same browser you used to sign in to AvePoint Online Services.
3. Add Cloud Index app in Teams.
