AvePoint Online Services

General Updates

  • Cloud Backup for Salesforce®, ReCenter (for Microsoft 365), and ReCenter for (Google Workspace) are now available in the following data centers:

    • GCP for West Europe (Eemshaven, Netherlands)

    • GCP for Australia Southeast (Sydney)

    • GCP for Japan (Tokyo)

    • GCP for South Korea (Seoul)

  • As detailed in a recent Microsoft article, Microsoft has introduced a new Foundry resource type, which enhances Azure OpenAI resources. In AvePoint Online Services, related terminology has been updated to reflect this change. For example, Azure AI Foundry is now referred to as Microsoft Foundry.

  • A security enhancement has been applied to the custom administrator role. Custom administrators now have limited permissions and cannot modify roles or permissions for Tenant owners or Service administrators. Full-permission administrators can update the permissions of custom administrators and demote them to tenant users. Management administrators can manage tenant users and other similarly ranked administrators but cannot edit higher-level user settings.

  • Organizations using Fly can now assign the Standard user role to tenant users by navigating to Management > User management.

  • If your organization using AgentPulse can now register via Administration > Benchmarking and then view reports under the Benchmarking tab on the AgentPulse command center.

What’s New in Command Centers?

New functions have been added to Command centers:

  • Data Resiliency has been redesigned into a single, unified dashboard that provides an end-to-end view of protection and recovery performance across all supported cloud platforms, including:

    • Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365

    • Cloud Backup for Google Workspace

    • Cloud Backup for SaaS Applications

    • Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS

    • Cloud Backup for Salesforce®

    • Cloud Backup for Dynamics 365

When configuring custom dashboards, organizations using any of the above services can add the following new widgets from the Backup & Recovery category:

- **Environment health** - **Total protected size** - **Storage growth percentage change** - **Backup job trends**
  • AgentPulse is now publicly available to all existing tenants in AvePoint Online Services. All tenant users can click View demo data to preview this command center. Service administrators can click Get started today! to begin the onboarding process.

What’s New in App Management?

  • Organizations using Cloud Backup for SaaS Applications can now navigate to Management > App management > Application connection and create connections for the following applications:

    • Docusign

    • Smartsheet

    • monday.com

    • Okta

    • Confluence

    • GitHub

    • Atlassian Admin

    • Jira

  • Organizations using Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 should note that if your organization deletes the Cloud Backup Express app profile in App management, all backed-up data will also be deleted. The deletion occurs within seconds, and you can continue normal operations while the process is underway.

  • Organizations using Fly for device migration can now create the Fly for device app profile from Management > App management, using consent under Modern mode.

What’s New in Auto Discovery?

  • When configuring a scan profile to scan Power App, Power Automate, Solution, Power Pages, or Copilot Studio, you can now choose whether to enable the Auto-grant system administrator role to all your Power Platform environments option. By default, this option is disabled. Once enabled, during the scan job, users who consented to related apps will be granted the system administrator role for all your Power Platform environments. The related apps are listed below:

    • EnPower for Power Platform

    • Fly for Power Platform

    • Insights for Power Platform

    • Cloud Governance for Power Platform

    • Custom Azure app with delegated permissions

    • Delegated app

    • AgentPulse

After you enable this option, you need to manually add the UserManagement.Users.Apply permission to the related app by referring to details in the user guide.

  • In Auto discovery > Containers, when you configure settings to batch import Exchange mailbox, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Group / Microsoft Team / Viva Engage community, Project site, or Security and distribution group objects into a selected container, you can now define the following settings:

    • How would you like to handle the imported objects in auto discovery scan jobs?

    • How would you like to handle the imported objects in batch import jobs?

  • Organizations can now request backend enablement to support importing orphaned OneDrive sites via batch import. Once enabled, orphaned OneDrive URLs can be added to the Excel template used for object import. (An orphaned OneDrive refers to a OneDrive belonging to a user who no longer exists in the organization.)

  • Organizations subscribed to Fly can now configure scan profiles to scan Exchange public folder data. Note that the following apps support scanning Exchange public folders.

    • Fly

    • Fly delegated app

    • Custom app with delegated permissions

  • Organizations using AgentPulse can now navigate to Configuration > AgentPulse connections to configure connections to all supported AI agent providers.
