Configure Global Settings

On the Global settings page, watermark, security related settings, and logos are configurable.

Manage Watermarks

Click the right arrow button to the right of Watermark to access the Watermark page. Click Edit to edit the watermark text settings.

Configure the following settings and then click Save to save your changes.

  • Watermark text – Select any text that you want to display. You can also select Custom to customize a value or select a built-in value from the drop-down list. Then, you can have a preview of the watermark below.

  • Font – Select a font from the drop-down list.

  • Font Size – Select a font size from the drop-down list.

  • Font color – Select a font color from the drop-down list.

  • Layout – Select how the watermark text will be displayed in files, either Horizontal or Diagonal.

  • Repeat – Choose whether to repeat the watermark text.

Configure Security Settings

On the Security page, you can configure the security related settings including project encryption and collaboration restriction.

  • Project encryption – Click the toggle button to the right of Project encryption to enable project encryption so that users can enable file content encryption when creating projects.

  • Q&A and task encryption – Click the toggle button to the right of Q&A and task encryption to allow users to enable encryption of comments in Q&A and task requests when creating projects.

  • Collaboration restriction – Click the toggle button to the right of Collaboration restriction to limit external sharing by domain. You can then select the Block specific domains or Allow only specific domains option, and configure the blocked/allowed domain list.

    1. Click Blocked domain list or Allowed domain list to open the domain list panel.

    2. Click Add domain, enter the domain name in the text box below, and click the Save button to the right to add the domain to the list.

    3. For blocked domain list, you can also click Import freemail domain list to import the provided freemail domain list. You can then adjust domains as needed.

    4. Click Save to save the domain list.

    Users in the blocked domains or the users that are not in the allowed domains cannot share files with others or invite users to Confide projects.

  • Hide my projects – Click the toggle button to the right of Hide my projects to hide the My Projects entrance from business users.

  • Open files in read-only mode – Click the toggle button to the right of Open files in read-only mode. With this feature enabled, files will always open in read-only mode to prevent accidental edits. Business users with the Edit permission can switch from read-only mode to editable mode.

On the Logo customization page, you can customize a light logo and dark logo to be applied to the end user portal.

  • A light logo is used in the navigation pane of Confide.

  • A dark logo is used in the Confide pages of which the background color is white.

Click Upload in the Light logo and/or Dark logo section, and browse to the image file that you want to set as Confide logo. You can click the Example link to view the usage location of the logo.

The customized dark logo can be directly applied to all Confide emails sent to end users, and the page accessed by clicking the shared anonymous links.

NOTE

To use the customized dark logo on the end user sign-in page, or use the customized light logo in the navigation pane of Confide, you need to contact AvePoint support for assistance after you have uploaded the custom logos.

If the logo does not meet your requirement, click Clear to clear the logo. The default logo of Confide will be used again.

Manage Email Templates

On the Email templates page, you can set up email templates in English and Japanese separately in each tab.

Click an email template link to edit the email template in the right window. When you finish configuring the email template, click Save to save changes.

  • Type – Select the email template type: Default or Custom.

  • Subject – With Custom type selected, you can customize the email subject.

  • Body – With Custom type selected, you can customize the first paragraph of the email body.

If you want to change back to the default settings for an email template, you can select the email template and click Reset to default or click Reset to default in the edit window.

Manage Terms and Conditions

On the Terms and conditions page, you can customize the terms and conditions for end users when they access the shared folders via upload links to upload files in the Upload link section, and customize the terms and conditions for end users when they access the shared objects via download links to download folders and files in the Download link section.

Click Save to save changes to the terms and conditions.
