AvePoint solutions support Microsoft 365 solutions and count the total number of users with assigned licenses as described in the sections below. You can identify the number of Assigned Licenses in Microsoft 365 by navigating to the Microsoft 365 admin center > Billing > Licenses.
The total quantity reported by AvePoint will be the total of all the assigned Microsoft 365 licenses. Each license is counted as a separate seat, even if multiple licenses are assigned to the same user.
An example: If a tenant has 200 E5 licenses and 800 E3 licenses assigned, the total number of assigned license seats is 1000. Even if 100 users are assigned both an E5 and an E3 license, the seat count remains 1000.
