Microsoft 365 Subscription

AvePoint solutions support Microsoft 365 solutions and count the total number of assigned licenses as described in the sections below. You can identify the number of Assigned Licenses in Microsoft 365 by navigating to the Microsoft 365 admin center > Billing > Licenses.

The total quantity reported by AvePoint will be the total of all the assigned Microsoft 365 licenses. Each license is counted as a separate seat, even if multiple licenses are assigned to the same user.

Example 1:

200 users with an E5 license
800 users with an E3 license
Total: 1000 seats (1000 users)

Example 2:

100 users with an E5 license only
700 users with an E3 license only
100 users with both an E5 and an E3 license
Total: 1000 seats (900 users)

In both examples, the seat count is 1000 because AvePoint counts the total number of assigned licenses, not the number of unique users.

NOTE

Cloud Backup for Dynamics 365 does not apply duplicate billing when a single user is assigned both Dynamics 365 and Power Platform licenses. For more information, refer to AvePoint Online Services for Power Platform.
