General Updates
- Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform now supports a new data center, United Arab Emirates (Dubai). The following services are now available in this new data center:
- Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 (including Cloud Backup Express and ReCenter)
- Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS
- Opus
- The API permissions for the Microsoft tenant registration app have been updated. The Organization.Read.All permission has been removed, and the LicenseAssignment.Read.All permission has been added. Organizations that have previously granted consent to the tenant app will not be affected unless further action is taken. Upon reconnecting the tenant in AvePoint Online Services, it will be necessary to approve the newly required API permissions.
What’s New in Command Centers?
New dashboards have been added to the Command centers:
- AgentPulse – The new freemium version offers insights into AI agent activity within your organization, showcasing usage patterns, engagement levels, and performance metrics. Administrators can track trends, identify anomalies, and oversee the performance of developed agents. To get started, your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator must review and consent to the required API permissions, then the AgentPulse service app will be automatically registered in your environment for connection.
- Lifecycle ROI – This dashboard integrates reports from Cloud Governance, EnPower, Insights, and Policies for Microsoft 365. It displays information about service requests, workspace management and renewal, as well as violations detected by pre-configured policies. If your tenant does not have a subscription to a specific service, you can click Show sandbox data to view sample reports or click Contact sales to purchase a subscription.
What’s New in App Management?
The following apps have API permission updates:

Both Cloud Governance for Power Platform and EnPower for Power Platform service apps now include the PowerPages.Websites.Read and PowerPages.Websites.Write Power Platform API delegated permissions, supporting to manage Power Pages.

The MyHub service app now includes the InformationProtectionPolicy.Read Microsoft Graph delegated permission to retrieve sensitivity labels that users have access.

The Cloud Backup for Azure service app now includes the DeviceManagementScripts.ReadWrite.All Microsoft Graph application permission to allow the app to read and write Microsoft Intune device compliance scripts, device management scripts, device shell scripts, device custom attribute shell scripts and device health scripts, without a signed-in user.
If your organization has configured app profiles for any of the service apps above, navigate to AvePoint Online Services > Management > App management to re-authorize the app profiles. This will apply the new API permissions and enable access to the related features.
*Note: Reauthorization is only required if you want to use the new features. Existing functionalities will remain unaffected if no action is taken.
What’s New in Auto Discovery?
- In Auto discovery > Scan profiles, when configuring an advanced mode scan profile with the Specified objects in one container rule selected for containers, you can now set conditions to filter SharePoint and Microsoft 365 Group / Microsoft Team / Viva Engage community objects based on the following criteria:

Elements
General Updates
- Elements now integrates with Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), enabling automatic synchronization of Microsoft 365 tenants and streaming tenant management and subscription provisioning for the baseline management service.
- Risk scanning is now supported across Azure resource types, along with backup and restore for Azure virtual machines and storage. Partners can manage Azure resources across tenants, configure scan rules at the MSP level, and monitor job status through a centralized process center.
- Cloud Backup for Salesforce® - Archive pooled subscription is now available in Elements.
- The Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS pooled subscription for Amazon E2C, Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machine, Google VM Instance modules is now available in Elements.
- A new set of public APIs are now available, enhancing the existing common features and introducing new functionalities for premium services.
What’s New in Baseline Management?
- You can now manage baselines by creating new versions when editing the baseline, comparing configurations between versions, and pushing updates to all applied tenants.
- You can now discard the review process for deployment and restore operations, reverting tenant status to its previous state.
- Drift detection frequency can be set per tenant, defining the daily start time and recurrence interval.
- You can now add configurations from another baseline when editing the baseline.
What’s New in Workspace Management?
- Private Preview: You can now enable two-way sync and configure mappings between classifications and sensitivity labels when managing the data security posture of a tenant. The classification and sensitivity label of workspaces can be updated automatically based on the configured mappings.
- Private Preview: When managing the data security posture of a tenant, you can now enable the pilot mode and configure pilot users to control which users can see the AvePoint MyData interface in Teams and SharePoint.
- When archiving and destroying files in a workspace, you can leave a stub in place and customize the message displayed.
- The Copilot adoption rate statistic is now available on the Workspace management page to show the user adoption rate of Copilot for each tenant.
What’s New in User Management?
- You can now convert a user mailbox to a shared mailbox and convert a shared mailbox to a user mailbox.
- You can now add users as members of an Azure application via user management.
- You can now manage application groups and assign a functional role as members of an application group.
- The user template now includes an offboarding step, which provides a flow of actions when deleting users who were created with the user template.
- You can now configure user naming formats to include the {Company} and {Location} attributes.
- A new Teams tab is now available on the Functional role details page, enabling you to add a functional role as members of a team.
- You can now add users as members of a directory role via user management.

- Devices with the following operating systems can now be managed via the Device management service: macOS, Android, Linux, and iOS/iPadOS.
- Compliance policies for the following platforms can now be created and managed in the Device management service: Android device administrator, Android (AOSP), Android Enterprise, iOS/iPadOS, and macOS.
- Apps of the Windows web link and Microsoft Edge, version 77 and later (Windows 10 and later) types can now be created and managed via the Device management service.

- License purchases can now be automated in Elements. Partners can configure approval workflows, set daily or monthly limits, define subscription scope, and prioritize marketplace plans, all while tracking purchase history and automation status.

Cloud Backup for Google Workspace
- Data management now includes support for Vault and Google Directory modules. Note that the Google Directory module is designed to handle Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), enabling the discovery and deletion of user data. However, it does not support the deletion of group data, as this functionality is not aligned with GDPR compliance requirements.
- You can now configure Retention policy settings for the Google Directory module (including Users and Groups).
Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS
- The Google Cloud Platform service is now generally available.
- If you use AvePoint Azure storage to store backup data and have signed up for AvePoint Online Services with the Germany West Central (Frankfurt) data center, you can now select United Arab Emirates (Dubai) as the storage region when accessing the Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS interface for the first time.
- Geo-Redundant Storage (GRS) is now available for users using AvePoint-hosted default storage.
- The AWS Platform Configurations service supports the protection of AWS Secrets Manager and Amazon Simple Queue Service.
- You can now set your CAP Gateways to update automatically whenever a new package version is available, ensuring you always have the latest version. Note that a mandatory manual update of all existing gateways to the latest version is required for the October release to avoid backup job failures. This step is necessary before you enable the auto-update.
- Cloud Backup for IaaS and PaaS now supports CAP Gateway mode for backing up and restoring Amazon EC2 instances.
- You can now generate indexes and perform file-level exports for Google VM instances using CAP Gateway mode.
- In CAP Gateway mode, backup data can now be stored on storage platforms that differ from the original backup data cloud platform.
- The CAP Gateways module now clearly displays status messages for gateways that are **Inactive**, **Uninstalled**, or **Reinstallation** **required**, improving user understanding of gateway status.
- The CAP Gateway configuration process has been updated to allow users to choose whether to upload log files to AvePoint Online Services.

What’s New in Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 Interface?

You can now prioritize which containers and objects get backed up first. This gives you more control over your backup process, ensuring that your most critical data is always protected without delay.

Power BI restore is now available. You can restore Power BI workspaces and reports, including permissions and datasets. This feature supports both in-place and out-of-place restoration, with conflict handling and BYOS options.
- AvePoint Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 now supports a new data center, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), expanding regional coverage and compliance options.
- AvePoint Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 now supports custom apps with delegated permissions, including Power Platform and Viva Engage scenarios, across all service types.
- Users can preview email messages from Exchange Online, Teams, and Group mailboxes before restoring them. Rich metadata is displayed, and all preview actions are audited.
- The Preview function must be enabled by AvePoint support and is restricted to the members of Administrators or designated security groups that have the Preview action permission.
- Within the file previewer, authorized users can download, print, or generate secure share links (with password and expiration options) for files from Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Groups, and Teams—even during ongoing backup jobs. All actions are fully audited.
- SharePoint site, OneDrive, and Group sites can now be restored directly to Microsoft Teams channel sites as destinations, to expand restore flexibility for Teams-centric organizations.
- Teams based on the education-specific templates can now be restored with correct metadata and channels, preserving the original structure.
What’s New in the ReCenter Portal?
- The Restore page in ReCenter is now fully optimized for mobile devices. Users can restore files efficiently from any smartphone or tablet, with touch-friendly controls and clear, legible layouts.
- Users can now preview Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files backed up from Teams, Groups, and SharePoint before restoring them. Security trimming ensures only authorized users can preview files. Files with sensitive labels, archived data, or size over 10MB cannot be previewed.
- Shared mailbox items can now be previewed in ReCenter, improving usability for Exchange Online scenarios.
- Flexible terminology mapping in ReCenter: Terminology mapping now supports replacing all terms that match or contain the specified source term (case-sensitive), making customizations more comprehensive.
- ReCenter has been deployed to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) data center.
- Support for exporting mailbox data from Microsoft Teams is now available. This includes data at the mailbox, folder, and individual item levels for both Search and Calendar modes.
- The ReCenter portal now displays three additional columns for archived SharePoint, Teams, and Groups items: Modified date, Archived date, and File size. Administrators can export the search results to CSV file with all relevant details, allowing teams to collaboratively review and decide which items to restore. Additionally, ReCenter now supports restoring the actual archived file directly back to its original location, replacing the stub file for a seamless user experience.
Cloud Backup for Salesforce®
- The Data service feature is now generally available. To obtain a subscription, contact your Sales representative.
- The audit logs backup feature is now generally available. To enable this feature, contact the AvePoint support team.
- Public preview: You can now create and edit archive policies for specific objects directly from the Inactive data analysis report in the Archive module.
- Custom databases are now supported for the Data service module. You can configure your database in Settings > Storage > Data service database. To enable this feature, contact the AvePoint support team.
- When restoring archived data, you can now select to restore the related first-level archived records.
- When restoring data in Cloud Backup for Salesforce®, you can now select and deactivate specific triggers, flows, workflow rules, processes, and associated validation rules during the restore.
- Alert rules can now be configured based on a percentage of total records for a single object or metadata type in Activity > Monitor alerts.
- You can enter keywords to run a global full-text search of your archive records via the Discover feature. Note that the results of the discover job will only be available for 30 days.
- You can now build an integration between a hub in Microsoft Azure Event Hubs and the audit records from Cloud Backup for Salesforce® from the AvePoint Online Services interface.
- You can now manually trigger a data service job on demand to get the latest data.
- You can now update existing data services directly.
Cloud Governance
What’s New in the Modern Cloud Governance Admin Center?
- Added the **Create Power BI workspace** service to allow business users to request Power BI workspace creation.
- The following updates are available in the **Change library settings** service:
- Added the **Change navigation setting** and **Change version settings** settings to allow business users to change the library navigation and version settings via the service requests.
- Columns of the **Choice**, **Yes/No**, and **Person or group** types can now be created when configuring the **Create library columns** built-in action.
- If IT administrators hide lookup metadata from business users, they can now choose whether to add the metadata to the workspace after adding it to a service.
- The **Create shared mailbox** service requests now support the creation of shared mailboxes with duplicate names across different domains for improved consistency.
- IT administrators can now configure the **Create site collection** service to define whether duplicate site collection titles are allowed. When this setting is enabled, the system will automatically check if the specified site collection name is already occupied by an existing object on the request page.
- In the **Manage permissions** service, under the **Manage SharePoint groups** setting, IT administrators can allow requesters to create SharePoint groups and assign the **$Primary site collection administrator** role as the new SharePoint group owner. When the role is held by a group, a user from the group will be randomly selected and assigned as new SharePoint group owner.
- When business users start dynamic service requests from the Site Information Card within their Microsoft 365 environment, the object URL is now automatically filled into the request forms.
- Business users can now request to change the ownership or membership of Viva Engage communities via the **Change ownership or membership** service.
- The **Change metadata** service now supports dynamic metadata changing mode, and a **Dynamic metadata** setting has been added to allow IT administrators to define the dynamic metadata profile that will be applied to the target object.
- If a Microsoft Entra property metadata has been configured as a contact, IT administrators can configure whether the metadata value will be updated when the specified contact changes in Metadata profiles.
- Dynamic metadata profiles can now be configured to predefine metadata branches that are used by services and profiles.
- Automated escalation profiles and renewal profiles can now be configured for management of the newly supported Power Pages site object type.
- If the owner of a team changes, any modern team renewal task assigned to the **$Object admin** role for the team will now be automatically reassigned to the new team owner.
- When configuring automatic import profiles or renewal profiles for teams, IT administrators can now choose whether to allow the confirm governance details task assignee to restore a team for lifecycle management.
- Microsoft 365 Archive can now be configured as the second stage escalation action in automated escalation profile for the following object types: Microsoft 365 Group, team, and Viva Engage community.
- IT administrators can now send a consolidated digest email of all notifications at your preferred frequency, instead of sending individual emails to users.
- The Power Pages report is now available under Directory. Tenants with an available subscription for AvePoint EnPower for Power Platform can access and manage Power Pages sites in EnPower.
- The Cloud Governance API is now supported for the following service types, enabling integration with external systems for seamless automation: Manage permissions, Create Microsoft 365 Group, Create Viva Engage community, Microsoft 365 Group lifecycle management, and Invite guest user (invite a single guest user).
What’s New in the End User Portal?
- Power Pages site owners can now review and modify the site contacts, website access permissions, and metadata through Power Pages site renewal tasks.
- Objects of the following types can now be viewed and managed in the MyHub Spaces report: room mailbox, equipment mailbox, hybrid shared mailbox, hybrid distribution group, hybrid security group, hybrid mail-enabled security group, Power App, Power Automate flow, Power BI workspace, and Copilot Studio agent.
- Business users can now receive task notifications within the MyHub app.
- When submitting dynamic provisioning service requests via the Cloud Governance API, requesters should avoid manually setting the constructed URL, ID, name, or title to ensure compatibility with the updated automated logic of Cloud Governance.

Cloud Management
- The Include hidden lists and document libraries option is now available in the report settings of Report Center Configuration Reports. You can choose to deselect this option at the Site level or Site Collection level report settings to exclude the hidden lists and document libraries from the report.

- You can now create a new site collection as the new storage site for future share center users.
- You can now view all storage sites of the share center, including the site title, site URL, storage used, share center users, and created date on the Sharing / Storage page.
What’s New in Confide with SharePoint Embedded?
- You can now configure retention policies on a global level and apply them to manage the lifecycle of project files. These policies can be enforced across all projects or targeted to specific ones, giving you centralized control over data storage.
- The IP address restriction can now be configured at the project level.
- You can now configure user settings to automatically delete users who have been inactive for a defined period. This new setting can be applied across all projects or targeted to specific ones, and includes the option to notify affected users via email upon deletion.
- Personal settings are now available for Confide users to define the language and date format they want to use in Confide with SharePoint Embedded.

- The EnPower for Power Platform service app now includes the PowerPages.Websites.Read and PowerPages.Websites.Write Power Platform API delegated permissions, enabling management of Power Pages.

Due to a Microsoft service upgrade, business context requests will no longer be available after October 13, 2025. To support the management of object lifecycles, renewal-related functionalities have been integrated with AvePoint Cloud Governance.

- Power Apps: New data includes details about app activities, launch history, and users who launched the apps, along with enhanced creator information such as country, ID, and job title.

- Insights has updated the prompt gallery in Ava to use more natural and flexible language.
What’s New in Insights for Microsoft 365?
- Public Preview: Behavior-based risk detection is now available. This feature accelerates threat identification by monitoring anomalous activities, including frequent sign-in failures, sign-ins from invalid IP addresses or geographical locations, and abnormal file activity patterns such as excessive deletions or modifications.
- The overview page is now available under the Activity explorer, displaying analyzed and aggregated activity data from the last 7 days.
- You can now run a one-time policy directly from the Intelligent remediation page for the Remove Shadow Users, Restrict Sharing Links (Sharing link expiration enforcement), and Scan Orphaned Users suggested rules, without having to sign in to Policies for Microsoft 365.
- The remove access action has been enhanced to support both single removal and bulk removal in the access report of users and groups within Insights.
MyHub
What’s New in the Admin Center?
- Administrators can now tailor and reorder available features for end users on the new Settings > Navigation page. Available features will be used as navigation items in the MyHub end user portal to provide one-click access for end users.
- Quick links on the navigation menu are now managed on the Navigation page.
- The Discover spaces personal view is now available in Settings > Spaces. By enabling this view, end users can discover and join public teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, and communities, where they are not members, directly in their Spaces report.
What’s New in the End User Portal?
- End users can now discover and join public teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, and Viva Engage communities in Spaces > Discover spaces if the view is enabled by the administrators.
- End users can now apply sensitivity labels to OneDrive files in OneDrive assessment > Risky items to ensure appropriate data classification, and filter the items by risk, sensitivity, and exposure levels for easy management.

Policies for Microsoft 365
- The policy creation process has been updated and now features an intuitive, step-by-step wizard to guide users through policy setup.
- A new rule, Restrict Member Removal, is now available, allowing you to control users who have the ability to remove members from Microsoft 365 Groups or Teams.
- You can now set independent scan intervals for specific policy rules that require a lower frequency. Note that for these rules, the independent scan intervals take precedence over the general policy-level schedule.
- The Monitor private channel sites setting has been added to the Scan Orphaned Users and User/Group Restriction rules, allowing you to monitor private channels for Teams sites.
- You now have the option to promote the most active users to owners until the specified number of owners is reached when using the Owner Number Restriction rule.
*Note: To use this rule, a subscription for tyGraph is required, and this option is not supported for OneDrive sites.

- Insights and recommendations will be generated from the report data in custom dashboards created by users, making data interpretation easier and more actionable by providing tailored insights directly within their dashboards.

- Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform now supports a new data center, United Arab Emirates (Dubai). The following services are now available in this new data center:
- Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 (including Cloud Backup Express and ReCenter)

- The API permissions for the Microsoft tenant registration app have been updated. The Organization.Read.All permission has been removed, and the LicenseAssignment.Read.All permission has been added. Organizations that have previously granted consent to the tenant app will not be affected unless further action is taken. Upon reconnecting the tenant in AvePoint Online Services, it will be necessary to approve the newly required API permissions.
What’s New in Command Centers?
New dashboards have been added to the Command centers:
- AgentPulse – The new freemium version offers insights into AI agent activity within your organization, showcasing usage patterns, engagement levels, and performance metrics. Administrators can track trends, identify anomalies, and oversee the performance of developed agents. To get started, your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator must review and consent to the required API permissions, then the AgentPulse service app will be automatically registered in your environment for connection.
- Lifecycle ROI – This dashboard integrates reports from Cloud Governance, EnPower, Insights, and Policies for Microsoft 365. It displays information about service requests, workspace management and renewal, as well as violations detected by pre-configured policies. If your tenant does not have a subscription to a specific service, you can click Show sandbox data to view sample reports or click Contact sales to purchase a subscription.

Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS
- The Google Cloud Platform service is now generally available.
- If you use AvePoint Azure storage to store backup data and have signed up for AvePoint Online Services with the Germany West Central (Frankfurt) data center, you can now select United Arab Emirates (Dubai) as the storage region when accessing the Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS interface for the first time.
- Geo-Redundant Storage (GRS) is now available for users using AvePoint-hosted default storage.
- The AWS Platform Configurations service supports the protection of AWS Secrets Manager and Amazon Simple Queue Service.
- You can now set your CAP Gateways to update automatically whenever a new package version is available, ensuring you always have the latest version. Note that a mandatory manual update of all existing gateways to the latest version is required for the October release to avoid backup job failures. This step is necessary before you enable the auto-update.
- Cloud Backup for IaaS and PaaS now supports CAP Gateway mode for backing up and restoring Amazon EC2 instances.
- You can now generate indexes and perform file-level exports for Google VM instances using CAP Gateway mode.
- In CAP Gateway mode, backup data can now be stored on storage platforms that differ from the original backup data cloud platform.
- The CAP Gateways module now clearly displays status messages for gateways that are **Inactive**, **Uninstalled**, or **Reinstallation** **required**, improving user understanding of gateway status.
- The CAP Gateway configuration process has been updated to allow users to choose whether to upload log files to AvePoint Online Services.

Power BI restore is now available. You can restore Power BI workspaces and reports, including permissions and datasets. This feature supports both in-place and out-of-place restoration, with conflict handling and BYOS options.
- AvePoint Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 now supports a new data center, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), expanding regional coverage and compliance options.
- AvePoint Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 now supports custom apps with delegated permissions, including Power Platform and Viva Engage scenarios, across all service types.
- Users can preview email messages from Exchange Online, Teams, and Group mailboxes before restoring them. Rich metadata is displayed, and all preview actions are audited.
- The Preview function must be enabled by AvePoint support and is restricted to the members of Administrators or designated security groups that have the Preview action permission.
- Within the file previewer, authorized users can download, print, or generate secure share links (with password and expiration options) for files from Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Groups, and Teams—even during ongoing backup jobs. All actions are fully audited.
- SharePoint site, OneDrive, and Group sites can now be restored directly to Microsoft Teams channel sites as destinations, to expand restore flexibility for Teams-centric organizations.
- Teams based on the education-specific templates can now be restored with correct metadata and channels, preserving the original structure.
What’s New in the ReCenter Portal?
- The Restore page in ReCenter is now fully optimized for mobile devices. Users can restore files efficiently from any smartphone or tablet, with touch-friendly controls and clear, legible layouts.
- Users can now preview Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files backed up from Teams, Groups, and SharePoint before restoring them. Security trimming ensures only authorized users can preview files. Files with sensitive labels, archived data, or size over 10MB cannot be previewed.
- Shared mailbox items can now be previewed in ReCenter, improving usability for Exchange Online scenarios.
- Flexible terminology mapping in ReCenter: Terminology mapping now supports replacing all terms that match or contain the specified source term (case-sensitive), making customizations more comprehensive.
- ReCenter has been deployed to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) data center.
- Support for exporting mailbox data from Microsoft Teams is now available. This includes data at the mailbox, folder, and individual item levels for both Search and Calendar modes.
- The ReCenter portal now displays three additional columns for archived SharePoint, Teams, and Groups items: Modified date, Archived date, and File size. Administrators can export the search results to CSV file with all relevant details, allowing teams to collaboratively review and decide which items to restore. Additionally, ReCenter now supports restoring the actual archived file directly back to its original location, replacing the stub file for a seamless user experience.

- The Data service feature is now generally available. To obtain a subscription, contact your Sales representative.
- The audit logs backup feature is now generally available. To enable this feature, contact the AvePoint support team.
- Public preview: You can now create and edit archive policies for specific objects directly from the Inactive data analysis report in the Archive module.
- Custom databases are now supported for the Data service module. You can configure your database in Settings > Storage > Data service database. To enable this feature, contact the AvePoint support team.
- When restoring archived data, you can now select to restore the related first-level archived records.
- When restoring data in Cloud Backup for Salesforce®, you can now select and deactivate specific triggers, flows, workflow rules, processes, and associated validation rules during the restore.
- Alert rules can now be configured based on a percentage of total records for a single object or metadata type in Activity > Monitor alerts.
- You can enter keywords to run a global full-text search of your archive records via the Discover feature. Note that the results of the discover job will only be available for 30 days.

What’s New in the Modern Cloud Governance Admin Center?
- Added the **Create Power BI workspace** service to allow business users to request Power BI workspace creation.
- The following updates are available in the **Change library settings** service:
- Added the **Change navigation setting** and **Change version settings** settings to allow business users to change the library navigation and version settings via the service requests.
- Columns of the **Choice**, **Yes/No**, and **Person or group** types can now be created when configuring the **Create library columns** built-in action.
- If IT administrators hide lookup metadata from business users, they can now choose whether to add the metadata to the workspace after adding it to a service.
- The **Create shared mailbox** service requests now support the creation of shared mailboxes with duplicate names across different domains for improved consistency.
- IT administrators can now configure the **Create site collection** service to define whether duplicate site collection titles are allowed. When this setting is enabled, the system will automatically check if the specified site collection name is already occupied by an existing object on the request page.
- In the **Manage permissions** service, under the **Manage SharePoint groups** setting, IT administrators can allow requesters to create SharePoint groups and assign the **$Primary site collection administrator** role as the new SharePoint group owner. When the role is held by a group, a user from the group will be randomly selected and assigned as new SharePoint group owner.
- When business users start dynamic service requests from the Site Information Card within their Microsoft 365 environment, the object URL is now automatically filled into the request forms.
- Business users can now request to change the ownership or membership of Viva Engage communities via the **Change ownership or membership** service.
- The **Change metadata** service now supports dynamic metadata changing mode, and a **Dynamic metadata** setting has been added to allow IT administrators to define the dynamic metadata profile that will be applied to the target object.
- If a Microsoft Entra property metadata has been configured as a contact, IT administrators can configure whether the metadata value will be updated when the specified contact changes in Metadata profiles.
- Dynamic metadata profiles can now be configured to predefine metadata branches that are used by services and profiles.
- Automated escalation profiles and renewal profiles can now be configured for management of the newly supported Power Pages site object type.
- If the owner of a team changes, any modern team renewal task assigned to the **$Object admin** role for the team will now be automatically reassigned to the new team owner.

- You can now create a new site collection as the new storage site for future share center users.

What’s New in Confide with SharePoint Embedded?
- You can now configure retention policies on a global level and apply them to manage the lifecycle of project files. These policies can be enforced across all projects or targeted to specific ones, giving you centralized control over data storage.
- The IP address restriction can now be configured at the project level.
- You can now configure user settings to automatically delete users who have been inactive for a defined period. This new setting can be applied across all projects or targeted to specific ones, and includes the option to notify affected users via email upon deletion.
- Personal settings are now available for Confide users to define the language and date format they want to use in Confide with SharePoint Embedded.

- Public Preview: Behavior-based risk detection is now available. This feature accelerates threat identification by monitoring anomalous activities, including frequent sign-in failures, sign-ins from invalid IP addresses or geographical locations, and abnormal file activity patterns such as excessive deletions or modifications.
- The overview page is now available under the Activity explorer, displaying analyzed and aggregated activity data from the last 7 days.
- You can now run a one-time policy directly from the Intelligent remediation page for the Remove Shadow Users, Restrict Sharing Links (Sharing link expiration enforcement), and Scan Orphaned Users suggested rules, without having to sign in to Policies for Microsoft 365.

What’s New in the Admin Center?
- Administrators can now tailor and reorder available features for end users on the new Settings > Navigation page. Available features will be used as navigation items in the MyHub end user portal to provide one-click access for end users.
- Quick links on the navigation menu are now managed on the Navigation page.
- The Discover spaces personal view is now available in Settings > Spaces. By enabling this view, end users can discover and join public teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, and communities, where they are not members, directly in their Spaces report.

Policies for Microsoft 365
- The policy creation process has been updated and now features an intuitive, step-by-step wizard to guide users through policy setup.
- A new rule, Restrict Member Removal, is now available, allowing you to control users who have the ability to remove members from Microsoft 365 Groups or Teams.
- You can now set independent scan intervals for specific policy rules that require a lower frequency. Note that for these rules, the independent scan intervals take precedence over the general policy-level schedule.
- The Monitor private channel sites setting has been added to the Scan Orphaned Users and User/Group Restriction rules, allowing you to monitor private channels for Teams sites.
- You now have the option to promote the most active users to owners until the specified number of owners is reached when using the Owner Number Restriction rule.
*Note: To use this rule, a subscription for tyGraph is required, and this option is not supported for OneDrive sites.
AvePoint tyGraph
- Insights and recommendations will be generated from the report data in custom dashboards created by users, making data interpretation easier and more actionable by providing tailored insights directly within their dashboards.
- The tyGraph Pages Site Analytics web part has been enhanced with AI insights and recommendations, and the chart has been redesigned. The web part also includes file activity so that you can understand page performance and file activity in the same location. This upgrade allows for improved data visualization and insights into user engagement and content performance within SharePoint data analytics.
- The following Copilot related charts now introduce new data analysis metrics for analyzing the usage of the free Microsoft Copilot Web Chat, helping you decide whether to offer paid licenses to those users:
- Benchmarking > Active unlicensed users trends
- Report center> Total active users
- Report center > User activity by license status
- An email containing a link to the shared report view or dashboard will be sent to recipients upon sharing.
- Site Details report enhancements:
- Report sharing is now available for the **Site Details** page, allowing recipients to view only the relevant information based on the filters you have applied.
- Report users can now pin the report visuals from the **Site Details** page.
- The Stream video analytics report is added to Report center > SharePoint, offering insights into top-performing videos. This tool emphasizes unique viewers instead of total views, allowing content owners to better understand audience engagement and the effectiveness of their content.
- All visuals in the Benchmarking and Viva Engage report pages support exporting data to CSV or XLSX formats, allowing business users to download and analyze insights for deeper reporting or sharing.
